● Recommendations on breastfeeding and chestfeeding, supplementation with human milk and/or formula, and supplemental feeding systems

● Focus on techniques to address issues such as low supply and over supply, latching, positioning, feeding multiples

● Referrals for local IBCLCs, as needed 

● Virtual and in-person support during the 4th trimester of pregnancy

● Help parents navigating the first weeks after birth, understanding what are typical newborn behaviors

● Help parents and siblings form a deeper and more meaningful bond with the new baby

● Physical and emotional support for birthing parent, including local referrals

● Nurturing the parents so that they can better support their newborn.  

● Supporting parents with postpartum mood disorders

● Living grief - birth trauma, fostering, adoption, unactualized “failed” adoption (intending family), shared/step parenting, surrogacy

● Supporting parents who are struggling to bond with their pregnancy after a previous loss (rainbow baby)

● Providing a safe environment for parents who have lost their baby (early or late miscarriage, abortion, loss of a multiple, stillbirth, or infant loss)

● Help parents find the resources needed during periods of adjustment

● Birthing support for stillbirth, fatal diagnosis, live miscarriages
